Comment: They're very big on health and safety - stick to the walkways (DO NOT deviate!) wear your hardhat, etc, etc.
The other drivers are friendly (mostly. there is one dick driver but the rest are OK), as are the office staff. This is one of those places where even the boss will have a chat and greet you in a friendly manner.
The wagons are to be as expected - scruffy but well maintained and looked after. Everything works as they should and they all pull a genuine 56MPH (cruise control is set to 53 maximum).
My only gripe is that despite being big on H&S while in the yard, this all disappears once out delivering. Some of the delivery locations are in town centres where there are a lot of restrictions in place, but you have no risk assessment to refer to, and are pretty much on your own. Also, any special instructions for site access may not be passed down to the driver, which isn't very good when you are sat at one gate and you should be at another.
All in all a decent place to work, but could be made better with proper risk assessments made available to the driver.
